We’ve answered a number of questions that we get asked regularly. If your questions are not answered below, please email admissions@asfc.ac.uk or visit www.asfc.ac.uk
We have over 50 different courses to choose from. You can see all these by clicking ‘EXPLORE OUR COURSES’ above.
This is completely normal. Some students know exactly what they want to study and others are unsure.
Our course introduction videos are a great place to start (‘EXPLORE OUR COURSES’ above). You can also find out more about our courses at www.asfc.ac.uk/courses
It’s great to talk things through will people. Speaking to your careers advisors and teachers at school would be fantastic. It’s also a good idea to do some research. If you have a career in mind but don’t know what course(s) you should choose, look up how to get into that career or find out the entry requirements for that degree/apprenticeship and go from there.
One of the biggest things to remember is to pick something YOU enjoy. You have to study these subjects for two years and if you enjoy the subject and are interested in learning about the topic, you are already half way there.
Our entry requirements depend on the study programme and course(s) you apply for. You can find all of our entry requirements at www.asfc.ac.uk/apply/entry-requirements
All applications to study with us are online. You can find our online application form at www.asfc.ac.uk/apply
Applications for courses starting in September 2022 open in September 2021. Please check www.asfc.ac.uk/apply. As we are an oversubscribed college, we would advise you to apply early. You must apply by the deadline in December 21/January 22 and any applications made after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list.
After you have successfully completed your online application before the deadline, we interview all of our prospective students. This is to ensure that you are serious about studying at college and that you are on the right study programme for you. It also allows you to meet us and ask any questions. It’s nothing to worry about!
If you apply after the deadline, you may not receive an interview.

Definitely. All of our students are supported throughout their college journey and some students need more support than others. Support is personalised to suit you and your needs. This may come from your Senior Tutor, the Careers department, the College Counsellors or the Inclusive Learning team (for those with specific learning needs).
